The president of the Chega Party has called for clarifications from the Ministry of Internal Administration regarding what he perceives as the "chaotic" conclusion of the Foreigners and Borders Service (SEF). Additionally, he raised concerns about the overwhelming burden on the Public Security Police (PSP) due to the SEF's closure.
"The integration of SEF inspectors into the Judiciary Police is acknowledged, but the operation at international airports is now under PSP's responsibility, and this has led to complete confusion," stated André Ventura. Following a meeting with PSP commander Luís Simões in Funchal, Madeira, as part of his three-day visit to the region, the Chega party leader addressed journalists to share his remarks.
